Born in Britain, Onoto have been hand-crafting luxury fountain pens since 1905. Recognised globally for their ingenuity and quintessential Britishness, the pens have been companions of some notable figures in history, including Florence Nightingale and Winston Churchill. One of their 1906 fountain pens was even discovered to write perfectly after spending 70 years at the bottom of the English Channel.
Despite their rich history, Onoto’s marketing needed a shake up. We wanted to adjust the brand in a way that felt more compelling and relevant to today’s market, yet retained its artistry and proud heritage. Working closely with Onoto, and in partnership with TEA Agency, we identified and developed the company’s values, ethos, and USPs to reinvigorate the Onoto brand.
The result is a brand that is elegant and simple, echoing the handwritten nature of penmanship, and old-world refinement. With a new identity, positioning and voice, Onoto now have a strong identity across all marketing areas and are confidently celebrating their heritage and place as a market leader.
